       For this third dozen, I took the original idea of walking around an apartment complex at night, but added a prompt. I prompted her to find objects while walking around. In finding these objects, we ended up walking around the whole complex.

I began this exercise by asking people to write on my arm in sharpie, interested in what they would write or draw knowing that it would be stuck on my arm for an extended period of time. This prompting them to draw was my "happening." I revised this idea by changing my canvas, giving people a sheet of paper rather than my arm and seeing how the images or writing differed. The "happening" of asking to draw or write remained the same.

The different locations changes the tone of the of the overall shoot. Even though both were shot at night. To me one seems more intentional. The second location is more natural.    The range is better in the second shoot. I believe this is done through the variety of locations. and After trial and error and some direction it got easier to shoot.

 This series is by Haley Morris-Cafiero and is titled "Wait Watchers." I believe this series fits into the chapter "If This is Art?" because it embodies the idea of creating a "happening." In this series, Haley stands in public places all around the world and captures the gazes that fall upon her for simply just existing in a space. People tend to stare or look when she is doing mundane activities that do not render such an action.     Since photography was created, its popularity and prevalence has grown exponentially. In the past couple decades with the introduction of cell phones with cameras built in, that growth has been even more so. Most all people are actively equip with cameras at any given moment which has changed the way the world works. Confidentiality is a huge issue that arrises with this in mind. Cell phones have become an extra appendage for most in this day and age, so asking people to put their phone away to view something such as test answers or something unreleased is easier said than done. People are constantly taking photos, so "leaked information" is a constant issue.     It can be scary to think that there is constantly a camera pointed at you, but in most places and on most days, there is.
